Yellow ladybird pendant

Hand carved yellow ladybird beetle pendant made from honeysuckle wood. Covered with hard wax oil. The spots on the beetle are made of bamboo using a special inlay technique. The beetle’s yellow color is the natural color of this wood. I was inspired by a real species of beetle—the ten-spotted ladybird. The beetle has exactly 10 spots, just as this species does in nature. The ornament is intricately detailed on all sides and also features legs and all the necessary parts on the back.
