Howling wolf figurine

Wooden wolf figurine hand carved from natural bog oak wood. Covered with hard wax oil. This fully detailed figurine of a howling wolf is carved from a single piece of black wood. It took around 12 hours of carving, sanding and polishing to complete. A wolf howling at the moon is a popular request, but I wanted to make this one special – something that stands out from mass-produced items. The first thing that sets it apart is the natural black wood, which is quite valuable and rare. Working with this type of wood requires a great deal of effort and experience in working with hardwood. Thanks to my skill in relief carving, I carved every detail by hand – every line of the fur, the ears, the paws, the anatomical features – you can feel it all to the touch. I have signed the base of the figurine with my initials, AK – Anna Kobzeva. The figurine has a highly recognisable silhouette and reveals the full beauty of this animal at first glance. The figurine’s size means you can place it on a bookshelf, in a themed corner of your room, or simply carry it with you in your pocket as your own protective talisman.
